Okay, I just finished watching/listening to the Giglio video. He did really well up until around 2:45 and even a little bit after that. It started to go downhill, though.

He would've made a much better point, though, if he had stuck with God holding you together because of how carefully He designed cells to have specific functions even in microscopic proportions, instead of getting all worked up over the shape of the cell. It sounded more like his point was the cross shape than the complexity of how God made living organisms, and that he completely forgot that God made such intricately detailed cellular operations.

He needs to take a page from St. Patrick's legendary explanation of the Trinity with the use of a shamrock. That made a lot more sense that what I heard from that video.

Don't forget about seeing Jesus or Mary in the grilled cheese. :P

Here's a clip from Anthony Bloom's "Beginning to Pray" book: "The moment we put a visible sign in front of ourselves, whether it be a crucifix, a tabernacle, an icon or an invisible image--God as we imagine Him, or Christ as we have seen Him in paintings--and we focus our attention on that, then we have placed a barrier between ourselves and God, because we take the image which we have formed for the person to whom we address our prayer...We must stand before God without trying to give Him a shape or to imprison Him in concepts and images..."

I mean, seeing God's handiwork in nature is one thing, and it's okay to a certain point to use symbolism and to notice shapes, but I think some people REALLY lose the real point and get too caught up in the shapes and the signs and the "spiritual coincidences." Take it this way: I think it's just a coincidence, and not a secret code or anything, that in Romans 16:21 you can find both the name of the Harry Potter character Jason plays AND his own first name right next to each other. Whoooaa. Not. (I discovered this by accident because I happened to look down and think "I didn't know this was in the Bible.")

by the way...
